Meta business verification rejected: what to fix before resubmitting

After a verification rejection, check the reason and the field it refers to. The address may not match, the document may be unreadable or the business connection may be unconfirmed. Fix that issue before submitting again.
The main guide: Meta business verification.
Save the actual message
Open the status where you started verification and keep the full response. “They rejected our documents” loses too much detail. You need to know whether the issue concerns the name, address, file, accuracy or something else.
Meta’s rejection guidance includes false or misleading information among the reasons. An appeal may be available depending on the situation. Follow the reason and options shown for your application.
Match the field to its evidence
| Issue | Inspect |
|---|---|
| Name mismatch | Legal entity, trading name, spelling and abbreviations |
| Address or contact issue | The exact detail requested and where it is supported |
| Unsuitable file | Accepted document type for the country and step |
| Unreadable file | Required pages, quality and uncropped details |
| Inaccurate information | Current, genuine company records |
This is an inspection order, not a diagnosis for every rejection. If the message identifies one issue, changing the name, phone, website and several other fields at once creates a less clear submission.
Make a focused correction
- Keep a private record of the original submission and response.
- Read the original supporting records.
- Correct the inaccurate field through the available process or prepare an appropriate readable document.
- Record what changed and why.
- Use the resubmission or appeal option if it is offered.
If the field cannot be edited, ask support how to correct that specific detail. Another pile of attachments does not automatically resolve a locked, incorrect field.
Use only the information the actual support route needs. The goal is to verify your real company, so any changes must reflect its genuine details.
After submission, keep the reference, date and status. Choose the next action from the new response. There is no useful universal promise that the second attempt will work, but a clear record stops the team repeating the same mistake.
