Meta business verification documents: prepare the right files
For BM verification, gather documents for the company named in the business settings. Start with the legal name, address and phone number, then check which documents Meta accepts for those details in your country.

Make one record of the legal details
Record the legal name, company type, registration details, address and working contacts. Compare them with the Meta business details. If BM lists a brand and the documents list the legal entity, resolve the naming before submitting.
Use Meta’s accepted-document guidance. Requirements vary by country and by the information being verified. For example, a utility bill is not accepted as proof of the legal business name.

Prepare readable files

- Compare spellings and address details throughout the application.
- If information changed, use current supporting records and the appropriate update process.
A brand name is not always the legal name
For example, a website might be called Traffic Studio while the legal company has another name. Use the name from the documents in the legal name field. Explain the brand relationship separately if requested.
If a translation is required, follow the requirements of that verification process. Altering an address or date inside a PDF does not resolve incorrect underlying records.
Keep a submission log with the business ID, date, responsible contact and list of files. Store the actual documents with restricted access. If Meta asks a follow-up question, the team should know what was submitted.
