Meta credit lines: how to apply for monthly invoicing

A Meta credit line lets a business pay for delivered ads by invoice. That is useful for a media buyer: there is no card charge at each billing threshold. You need separate access to monthly invoicing, though, and the terms depend on the business.

What a Meta credit line means

Monthly invoicing lets eligible businesses pay advertising costs by invoice using a credit line. That is the payment option to investigate when you mean terms directly from Meta.

The word credit does not mean cash you can withdraw. We are talking about paying for advertising. The useful questions are when payment leaves, when revenue arrives and how much spending capacity remains.

Meta has a separate guide to credit lines and limits. Check that before borrowing someone else’s terminology.

Who can apply?

Meta describes the option as available to eligible businesses. Start in your own portfolio’s Billing & payments. The application instructions point to a banner inviting the business to apply.

I would not plan around a universal “spend X, wait Y days” recipe. An application, its approval and the approved amount are separate steps. Business verification alone does not tell you what line will be offered.

What I would have ready

  • Legal business name and registration information.
  • Legal and billing addresses.
  • Working website, business email and phone access.
  • Business documents in case they are requested.
  • The person responsible for invoices and payment.
  • A realistic view of spending and incoming cash dates.

That is my preparation list. The actual form determines what your application needs. The business verification guide covers getting company details in order.

The application route

  • Open Meta Business Suite and select the correct business portfolio.
  • Go to Billing & payments, through All tools if shown in your interface.
  • Find the monthly invoicing invitation and open the application.
  • Provide accurate company details, check invoice contacts and submit.
  • After a decision, review the approved line, account assignment and payment terms before planning spend.

The numbers that matter

A simple example: a 10,000 line with 7,000 already outstanding is not the same as 10,000 ready to spend. Check the available amount and invoice status. These are illustrative numbers, not a promised Meta offer.

Affiliate payouts and advertising invoices may fall on different dates. A delayed partner payment does not automatically move your invoice due date. I would plan for that gap before treating the line as extra campaign budget.

What if an agency provides it?

Meta documents sharing line access with another business. The agency may still require your payment upfront. Ask who receives the payment terms: your team or the agency. See the agency account guide for that distinction.

Questions and answers

Is a $500 card billing threshold a credit line?

No. Automatic card thresholds and monthly invoicing are different arrangements.

Where do I check eligibility?

Look for the application invitation in your business’s Billing & payments, as described by Meta.

Does business verification guarantee approval?

No. Credit line approval and terms are separate.

Can I know the exact amount in advance?

Use your business’s own decision and account information, not another advertiser’s screenshot.

For each line, track available credit, unpaid invoices and due dates. That tells you how much more you can spend and when you need the money to settle it.
